Substance Found In Red Wine May Improve Memory

Research has found that a substance found in red wine may carry anti-aging properties, and also help improve memory. The substance, resveratrol can be found in dark chocolate, as well. The study participants showed that after taking the supplement for six months they had an improved short-term memory when compared to participants in the study who did not take the supplement. Veronica Witte, a neuroscientist at the Charit Universittsmediz in Berlin said, “from a clinical point of view, our findings suggest that regular, high-level intake of resveratrol in the elderly may convey protective effects on cognitive functions, a hypothesis that now needs to be evaluated in large-scale clinical trials.” More here
