Older Americans Turn Towards Entrepreneurship

A new study conducted by AARP states that 10% of people between the ages of 45 and 74 plan to start their own businesses, while 15% of workers in this age group are already self-employed. An increasing number of older Americans are enjoying the benefits of running their own businesses, helping to make additional money for themselves and their families. The study also found that many of the businesses are successful. Vice president for financial security at AARP, Jane Setzfand said, “once you have the life experience, you probably have a shorter pathway to being successful, and that is something we’re seeing.” More here
